Employees concerned with electrical safety, including electrical engineers, safety managers, electricians, electrical contractors, plant managers, facility maintenance personnel, electrical inspectors, risk managers, mechanical engineers, HVAC installers, designers, and project managers.
WHY:
This course outlines safety standards to protect workers from electrical hazards associated with the use of electricity. It will also cover the essentials of helping to protect lives on the job and reducing injuries, OSHA violations, and liabilities.
Attendees will learn the science behind electricity and the types of electrical hazards. They will learn compliance with NFPA 70E, as well as important on-the-job safety considerations for electrical maintenance and avoiding electrocution risk.
This course will explore and explain vital safety-related practices and procedures that employees, supervisors, and owners can put into action to help safeguard work areas from electrical risks. This will include risk assessments, arc flash awareness, PPE requirements, safe work practices, emergency response, and the importance of documentation and record keeping.
